Just a quick note: tomorrow I’m leaving for the east coast of somewhere for 6 weeks. There is quite literally a -4.2% chance I’ll be posting anything here until I return. So if anything happens (ie. posting) please confirm that the laws of probability are still intact. Thanks! (Also can someone water the severed hands while I’m away? They may rot otherwise. And this shouldn’t need to be said, but don’t actually use water.)
"Why, it would take some kind of insane meglomaniacal fiend to take pleasure in wielding the tapestry of creation to focus pure energy into reality through nothing more than my own will, the rush of electricity through my being, the power—my god, the power! It’s the only time I feel aliiiiiiiiive!”

(Oh yeah, she wants me.)
I’m leaving tomorrow (read: later today) for a week to various places (cold places with terrible weather, because all weather elsewhere is atrocious in comparison). I half-finished a couple commissions; they’ll be completed when I return.
I plan on drawing a few more MLP humanish-izations (possibly in color) as warm-up sketches. Which pegasi do you want to see first?
Extra credit: mostly-faithful replication of the Chi Rho Iota (XPI) page from the Gospel book (illuminated manuscript) Book of Kells, in mechanical pencil (later color-enhanced). Original is made of vellum (calfskin from nearly 200 calves) in the late 8th century (early medieval) and initially created at Iona, Scotland.
(I blame some of the imperfection of details on the finger splint + 8 stitches.)
So gravity and stupidity teamed up, and as of Tuesday I have 8 (lucky number!) stitches on my right little finger because science (class). Hooked metal 1kg weight ripped a c-shaped skin flap that started leaking this red, goopy stuff all over the tiles. Now it’s kind of a pain trying to do things with my right hand, which is why I’ve been nonstop drawing and writing with it. Anyway it was literally the best day of the year, and now I feel motivated to actually do something.
Commission for http://ladykochou.deviantart.com/ of Reverie!
A super fun bg of surreal cloud complex, with divine geometry (I actually read the art history textbook, see).
Been a slow sketch week! But I (promise) I’ll get back to art stuff I have to do soon.
Harpy - 30-day monster girl challenge.
(Intended as a warm-up for commission-work; ended up taking so long it’s already time to pretend to sleep.)
